The word 'Professionalism' is something that is both hard to define and hard for most people to exemplify. In my opinion, Professionalism is not presenting yourself as a stoic face to your clients, or insisting that things must always progress along a path you always dictate. Professionalism is having both pride in your work, confidence to know what you have to do, and to bend a bit in one's methodology to get the results everyone is looking to reach. For our wedding, you braved a chill February afternoon, stomped your cowboy boots through the snow and ice, climb and clambered over rusty scaffolding... All to get the photographs you wanted. You are a consummate professional and my wife and I could not be happier with the photographs. Our experience with Mark was absolutely amazing. He has so much passion for his work and truly realizes the importance of capturing those "special moments". He works with you and if you aren't sure, he always has great ideas for the perfect shot. For our engagement shoot, Mark's suggestion of location was beautiful. We were in awe; it was exactly what we were looking for yet, we had no idea that the spot that he had picked even existed. He was always reachable and very flexible which really took the stress off both of us. On the big day, Mark spent the whole day with us. From the girls getting their hair and make-up done to the first dance. (about 12 hours)- He also drove from one end of the city and back again just to capture the before moments. Mark's assistant Martin took shots of the guys getting ready. Thank you Martin- the shots were so creative. They look great! Mark really put us at ease and he never tried to rush us. He took so many "action" and natural shots. Every time we look at the pictures we literally can relive that special day. When we came back from our honeymoon, our proofs were ready on DVD's right away. We are still trying to go through the 1086 pictures that were taken. Our friends and family have commented on how beautiful and original the pictures are and these haven't even had any touch-ups done. They are fabulous!!!!!! I love them and want to print all of them lol hahaha. I think that we are going to convert some more to black and white.The ones on the stairs are phenomenal. I passed the link around to some of the ladies at work here and they were all teary eyed. :) I love how there are so many when we didn't know you were taking them and the ones of my grandparents are just awesome and mean the world! We did a lot of
shopping for a wedding photographer. We encountered many that took a ton
of pictures and would share their digital files, many that would polish
and touch-up a small number of professional shots, but no one that would
do both. But that is exactly what Mark Cooper does. The first and most important thing is that we absolutely loved the shots that were taken. We had photographers with us from early in the day to late in the evening, and they captured all aspects of the day with a wide variety of pictures. Before and after, Mark's service was excellent. He always responded to our questions and needs, and did so quickly. It was the best value for money decision we made for our wedding. From the first meeting with had with you and George, it didn't take long for us to get to know him since he is very friendly and outgoing. Even during the first few shots of our engagement shoot, he made us feel very comfortable. After the engagement shoot, we had a discussion between the three of us and George quickly understood the style we wanted and was very accommodating to all of our requests. On our wedding day, he arrived ahead of schedule and stayed later than expected to ensure that he captured as many of our special moments as possible, and he kept a smile on his face throughout the entire day. He did a fantastic job of capturing everything we had hoped for and he also unexpectedly helped out by opening doors for delivery people and proposing solutions to little problems we encountered! And George was extremely well prepared! Not only was he able to work with the frequently-changing weather, timelines and locations, he had researched and prepared alternate shooting locations in case what we wanted wasn't possible due to current conditions. Needless to say, he was extremely flexible. He volunteered to show people his shots as he was taking them and he gladly took requests from our guests. Long story short, George was an invaluable addition to our wedding! We're extremely happy about the fantastic wedding pictures he took! They were beyond what we expected! To us, Mark Cooper best exemplifies what professionalism and photography is all about. Since our first meeting with Mark, he made us feel very comfortable. We went in with no set plans or ideas on how we wanted our photos to be done or what type of shots we wanted. That turned out to be the best decision that we could have made.
